Netnewswire not updating
Well, we’re working quite hard on it—which is why I haven’t been doing much posting, and why if you’ve sent me email I may not have replied. Most of the 95 items on the to-do list are bugs to fix.) Only a few of the remaining items are big things like updating the Help book. What remains is fixing bugs, adding a couple small features, updating the Help, adding polish, basically just taking care of all the many little details. Bravery is required, though, because it does still have bugs.Once Evernote enabled Applescript support, I realized that I could “file away” the feed items that were useful to me.

With this script, you can do a batch archive from Net News Wire of: I have updated the dialog boxes for tag support (which lets you tag items on the way into Evernote) and also for the alphabetized list of your current Evernote Notebooks that allows you to select which notebook to archive the feed items into. No problem — the script has a “Create New Notebook” button which will let you do that on the fly!It is based off the default style sheet but adds highlighting for hcard and hcalendar content.The second is an apple script that will pass the permalink url for individual entries to the proper Technorati service to extract or subscribe to the microformat based content.
It has become my “bread-and-butter script” and I use it all day long to quickly tag and file things as I read them.
